Rose Oil

Ingredient detail

Ingredient context

Rose Oil is included as part of FADE's supporting botanical oil complex, alongside Wheatgerm, Kokum, Mango, Cocoa, Jojoba and Olive Oils. Together, these oils form the emollient and occlusive base that carries the active compounds and helps keep postpartum skin, which loses barrier lipids faster than usual under hormonal shifts, comfortably hydrated. Rose Oil's role within this complex is supportive rather than structural, contributing largely through its skin-soothing and sensory properties rather than serving as one of the formula's primary stretch-mark actives.

Evidence context

The report does not assign Rose Oil the same weight of stretch-mark-specific clinical evidence as Centella Asiatica or Argan Oil, and we do not want to suggest otherwise. Within FADE, the structural work belongs primarily to Centella and Argan Oil, while the remaining botanical oils provide the supportive emollient environment around those actives. Rose Oil is therefore included largely for its skin-soothing and sensory properties rather than a specific structural claim. Its place in the formulation should be understood as part of the wider botanical oil base designed to support skin comfort and hydration while the formula's better-evidenced active ingredients address collagen remodelling and postpartum stretch-mark concerns.
